1.TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1.1. These Terms and Conditions govern the sale and installation of kitchen worktops by Al Murad Granite Ltd to customers. By placing an order with us, customers agree to be bound by these terms.

1.2. Please read these terms and conditions carefully before placing an order as it explains who we are, and our rights as well as yours.

2. OUR INFORMATION

2.1. Al Murad Granite Ltd is a registered company. The company registration number is 07123659 and our registered office address is Howley Park Estate Howley Park Close, Morley, Leeds, England, LS27 0BW

3. YOUR ORDER

3.1. Customers can place orders in store or over the phone.. Your quotation does not include any plumbing, gas fitting, electrical works or removal of existing worktops unless specified by us.

3.2. Acceptance of an order will only take place once we receive the deposit we discussed with you . Once this has been received only then will a contract between Al Murad Granite Ltd and you (the customer) come into force.

3.3. Full payment needs to be made prior to fabricating the worktops. The company reserves the right to suspend the contract if payment is not received.

3.4. On the unlikely event that the company cannot accept your order we will inform you of this and not charge you for your order.

3.5. Currently the products and services are only available in England, Wales and Scotland.

4. PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

4.1. The company provides kitchen worktops made from but not limited to Granite, Quartz and Ceramic. It also provides services which include template, delivery and
installation.

4.2. Worktops are made to your specifications: through choosing your preferred material, edges and the sizes you require. So customers are responsible for ensuring it meets the requirements for their intended use.

4.3. Natural products: Since the products are made from natural materials the pictures shown on our website may differ from the way your worktop looks. This is because the design on each slab may differ. We cannot guarantee that the images on our website reflect the colour of the worktop although we try our best to show a true picture of it. Furthermore, due to it being natural products there may be small differences in weight, size and other measurements mentioned.

4.4. The final products may differ from samples since it is a natural material so there is no guarantee that it will not have any natural marks.

4.5. Accurate measurements: it is the customers responsibility to make sure all measurements and plans are accurate. No refunds or replacements will be accepted because of the measurements and plans you have given unless the worktop is faulty. It is important to note the 25 year warranty does not extend to any of our worktops
that are not installed by us.

4.6. If a customer chooses the option to collect the product themselves, the company will not be held liable for any damages to the product once it leaves us.

4.7. Quotation: The quote given to the customer is based on the measurements given by the customer so the quote may change to reflect exact measurements once the template has taken place. The quote will also change if there are any changes/ additions made to the order.

4.8. If the quote includes a promotional offer the quote will only be valid till the offer expires. Once the offer expires a new quote will have to be made.

5. CHANGES TO THE ORDER

5.1. Once the worktop has been put into production it will no longer be possible to make any changes to your order. If a customer would like to make a change before this, contact the company and they will advise you on whether it is possible and any changes to the price, the timing and anything else that would happen as a result of this change.

5.2. The company may have to make minor changes to a product to correct any inaccuracies in measurements given to us before template.

5.3. If changes need to be made for any other reason the company will notify the customer about this.

 

6. TEMPLATE

6.1. Once the template date has been confirmed, if the customer wishes to change the date the company will need to be notified at least 48 hours before or they will be charged to reschedule.

6.2. After the template, the customer will be given the final price. It is the customers responsibility to check everything is correct. If they would like to make any big changes at this point then the company would need to re template and they will be charged a fee.

 

7. AL-MURAD GRANITE TOLERANCES:

Worktops Glued Join: Adhesive joining tolerance: 2mm with an allowable deviation of +/- 1mm.

Upstands / Splashback / Cladding Silicone Join: Silicone bonding tolerance for upstands, splashbacks, and cladding: 1mm with a permissible range of +/- 1mm.

Upstands / Splashback / Cladding Glued Join: Bonding tolerance for upstands, splashbacks, and cladding using adhesive: 2mm with an acceptable variation of +/- 1mm.

Gaps between worktops and walls: Gap allowance between worktops and walls: 4mm with a variation tolerance of +/- 2mm.

Gaps between worktops and tall housing: Gap allowance between worktops and tall housing units: 2mm with an allowable range of +/- 1mm.

Gaps between upstands and walls: Space allowance between upstands and walls: 4mm with a permissible fluctuation of +/- 2mm.

Gaps between cladding and wall units: Space allowance between cladding and wall units: 4mm with an acceptable fluctuation of +/- 2mm.

Gaps between splashback and extractor: Clearance allowance between splashback and extractor: 4mm with a variation tolerance of +/- 2mm.

Overhang on units consistency from carcass: Uniform overhang from the carcass: Deviation of +/- 2mm is acceptable.

Overhang on end panels consistency from carcass: Uniform overhang from end panels: Deviation of +/- 2mm is permissible.

Overhang on internal corner posts: Overhang on internal corner posts: 10mm with an allowable range of +/- 2mm.

Overhang on external corner posts: Overhang on external corner posts: 10mm with an acceptable range of +/- 2mm.

Overhang on undermount sinks: Overhang on undermount sinks: 4mm with a permissible range of +/- 2mm.

Overhang on window cills: Overhang on window sills: 5mm with an allowable variation of +/- 2mm.

Overhang on breakfast bars 20mm: Overhang on 20mm breakfast bars: Maximum 300mm with a tolerance of +/- 5mm.

Overhang on breakfast bars 30mm: Overhang on 30mm breakfast bars: Maximum 300mm with a tolerance of +/- 5mm.

Material pitting size conformity tolerance: Tolerance for material pitting size conformity: Diameter less than 1.5mm.

Material contaminants size conformity tolerance: Tolerance for material contaminants size conformity: Diameter less than 1.5mm.

 

8. DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION

8.1. If the company need to change the delivery and installation dates because of unforeseeable circumstances, the company will not be liable for any delays caused by any events that go beyond our reasonable control

8.2. It is the customers responsibility to ensure someone is present at the premises on the agreed date. The premises must also be prepared for installation.

8.3. If the company is unable to install the worktop on the agreed date due to a problem on the customers end a fee will be charged.

8.4. If the customer does not pay the remaining balance after template the company has the right to suspend the supply of the products and will not install the product till they pay.

9. CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS

9.1. Customers may cancel 7 days before the template. If the template has taken place the company has a right to only refund a part of the deposit.

11. WARRANTY

11.1 Al Murad Granite Ltd have a 25 year guarantee on any worktops we install ourselves.

11.2. The company warrants that:

11.2.1 The products will be free from defects and

11.2.2 The products will be installed using reasonable skill and care

11.2.3. Any defective products will be repaired, replaced or refunded provided that the company has been notified within reasonable time of discovery of the defect. The company must also be given time to examine the products.

11.3 Al Murad Granite Ltd will not be liable for the failure of the product to comply with the above criteria if:

11.3.1. the defect is due to a failure on the customers part to follow instructions given to them on storage, installation, use and maintenance of the products.

11.3.2. the company have stated the defect mentioned is not a defect

11.3.3. the customer or any other 3rd party modify the products

11.3.4. the defect is due to wear and tear, negligence, improper use or abnormal working conditions

12. OUR RIGHTS

12.1 If the company end a contract due to a fault on the customers part the company have the right to charge the customer for costs incurred due to wasted labour, materials and other costs experienced as a result of the customer breaking the contract.

12.2. Ownership: All goods will remain the property of Al-Murad Ltd until full and final payment has been acknowledged.

13. DAMAGES

13.1. The company are responsible for loss or damage the customer suffers that is a foreseeable result of us breaking this contract but not for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable.

14. PERSONAL INFORMATION

14.1. The company will use the personal information the customer gives to supply the products and process payment for the products.

14.2. If the customer agrees , the company will also give information on similar products we provide

14.3. The company will never share a customers personal information with third parties unless the law requires it.

15. LIABILITY

15.1. The company’s total liability to the customer whether in contract, tort or otherwise shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for the purchase and installation of the worktops
