If you’re still here, you have brought or chosen your worktops from us and whats next? The fun part and no, we don’t mean just admiring them (but if you do that too we can’t blame you) is styling your worktops and giving them that truly unique touch to make it your own. We know browsing through Pinterest is time consuming for good reasons for this but here are our few tips from our design experts on how to decorate kitchen counters. And whilst you are at it have a look on our Pinterest for inspiration from other customers who styled our worktops!
1) Coffee Corner
If you love your coffee this ones for you. A space dedicated to your coffee machine with Syrups, fancy mugs with spoons inside, possibly a cup full of pods if you have a coffee pod machine.
We brought in a coffee expert to recommend some coffee machines that are aesthetically pleasing whilst giving great coffee.
For a pods machine they recommended the Nespresso Lattisima One
For a manual coffee machine where you can change the grind size, froth the milk and even tamp your coffee they suggested the Breville Barista Max Espresso Coffee Machine
2) Chopping Boards: the perfect functional touch
Either by themselves against a wall or used to add depth by adding props on. Chopping boards can make anything you place on them look good compared to if those items were on their own
3) Recipe books
These are great to add height when layering and also serves a functional purpose as you can actually use the recipes inside. A few pretty to display recipe books are Sunday Suppers, The Kinfolk Table, Magnolia Table
4) Framed Art:
Gone are the days where framed art is only for living room walls. Now they are used in kitchens too and do they look good!
5) Plants and flowers
Plants are the easiest way to add colour and style into any kitchen. Greenery is always a yes. And the occasional treating yourself to flowers every now and then adds a pop of colour into your kitchen and keeps it from always looking the same.
6)Sink area
Sinks tend to look overcluttered and does not always fit the aesthetics you are looking to achieve in your kitchen. Filling your hand wash and dish soap into dispensers is great as it helps to give an organised and tidy look. Extra points if you add waterproof labels to it!
