This granite originates from the quarries of India and features the subtle ‘spots’ of deep red/brown and is often used as an alternative for Kashmir White. Colonial White Granite is such an alluring replacement of Kashmir White Granite. Since Kashmir White quarries had been closed by Indian Government, homeowners are using some alternative stones in their kitchen, bath, and interior remodeling. I can say that Colonial White Granite is the new Kashmir White until the quarries re-open.
Colonial White is quarried from a bedrock quarry in India. This granite comes from the lower levels of the Café Crème quarry Colonial White quarries are in close proximity of Andromeda and River White Quarries.
Colonial White can easily be differentiated from River White Granite by having, greenish golden specs without a constant flow.
It is recommended that this be sealed to extend its longevity.
