AL-MURAD GRANITE CO SPONSORS LEADING FIREWORK SPECTACULAR

Al-Murad Granite worktops with Al-Murad Tiles , the UK’s leading independent supplier of tiles,  have agreed to sponsor the largest bonfire night and firework spectacular in Leeds, which will take place at Roundhay Park on Monday 5 November. 

Attracting tens of thousands of people the event, which is managed by Leeds Council and is free to attend, will begin with the lighting of the bonfire from 7pm before a professional fireworks display will light up the skies from 8pm.

Director at Al-Murad Tiles, Irfaan Murad, comments: “This is an excellent community event and as a local business we felt it was important to become the headline sponsor to show our support. We hope that everyone will have a great time and that this year will be the biggest and best firework display yet.”

Councillor Mark Dobson, executive member for the environment, Leeds City Council, said: “Roundhay Park hosts one of the biggest bonfire and fireworks events in the north and it is massively popular with the many thousands of people who attend.  We’re delighted that Al-Murad tiles and Al-Murad Granite have agreed to sponsor this year’s event, which promises to be even more spectacular than ever.”

Roundhay bonfire and firework display 2011 was reported as being one of the top ten events to take place in the UK, as featured on the Visit Britain blog. In addition to the huge bonfire and impressive fireworks display the event also boasts live music as well as stalls selling hot food and drinks.
